Breckenridge Stables provides horseback trail rides, riding lessons, and horse-drawn carriage rides through historic Breckenridge.
Prices
$60 per person riding a horse and $25 for children 3 and under riding double.
Policies
- Children ages 0-3 ride double in the saddle with an adult. This is a general guideline and is based on a number of factors, including the size and weight of the child and adult.
- Children 4 and up: For those that are too young or unable to control their own horse - generally 4 to 5 years old - we will control the horse for them by attaching a rope from their horse to one of our staff. Children 6 years and older may ride on their own horse or pony.
- Open mid-May (weather permitting) through September
- Arrive 15 minutes early to sign in
- Wear proper attire (no sandals) and dress for the weather
- 24-hour cancellation policy for refund
- Rides go in all weather conditions, except thunder and lightning
- Wranglers work for tips
- Credit cards are used to hold reservations. For payment, cash or check only, please.

Copper Mountain Horseback Riding

Copper Mountain Stables has both horseback trail rides and pack rides. Minimum age is 7. Pony rides are available for younger wranglers.
Prices
- 1 hr Trail Rides $45/person
- 2 hr Trail Rides $65/person
- 1/2 day rides with complementry Lunch $105/person
- Stafford Creek All Day Ride $145/person
- Slate Creek All Day Ride $155/person
- Uneva Creek All Day Ride$155/person
- Pony Rides Children 7 and under $10 a ride/child or $25 for the season/child
Policies
- Double riding is not allowed
- Please arrive at least 20 min. ahead of your scheduled ride
- Wear long pants and always bring a rain coat as the weather is always changng
- The rides go rain or shine!
- There is a 24 hr cancelation policy to receive a full refund

Two Below Zero

Two Below Zero offers an old-fashioned chuckwagon dinner wagon ride and a family-oriented wild west show. Take in stunning views of the Rocky Mountains and enjoy the incredible Colorado weather.

- Large group cancellation policy is longer
- Age 3 and under receive no meal and must sit on lap if sleigh is at capacity

Cattle Drive

Enjoy a truly unique experience by taking part in a western tradition. Mount up and ride with the Rusty Spurr's cowhands who will teach you how to help them gather and drive their herd on 10,000 acres of undeveloped, open range. What makes this activity genuinely special is that its very nature allows everyone from beginner to advanced riders to ride to their individual ability levels. A terrific opportunity for groups with mixed riding abilities! The drive involves 3 ½ - 4 hours of riding, with panoramic views of the Continental Divide and the Gore, Williams Fork and Never Summer mountain ranges. Riding terrain varies from open sagebrush plains to aspen and pine-covered hills. A homemade meal will await you upon your return.

- Price excludes a 3% BLM use fee per person and gratuity
- Arrival is 8:30am for check-in
- 48 hour cancellation policy
- All rides require advanced reservations to ensure availability.
- Private rides require a two-person minimum.
- Age minimum is 10 for the Cattle Drives
- The horses have a 240 lb. weight limit. Riders above this weight can be accommodated, but details are required at the time the reservation is made.
- Rides go in all weather including rain and snow.
- Weather cancellations shall be exclusively the decision of the Rusty Spurr Ranch.
- Please leave your dogs at home! We love dogs and do not wish to see them left in a hot car. Non-ranch dogs pose a safety risk around horses.
- Please remember that the weather patterns in this area are highly localized and more often than not it is sunny here when it is raining in the ski area towns.
