Learn about the sport of dog sledding in a hands-on, education-rich environment where you can see what all of the fuss is about! Meet the dogs and become a musher as you drive the team. Take a one or two hour dog sledding tour with an experienced guide in one of the most beautiful backdrops in the Rocky Mountains!
Free transportation is available for one hour trips from central locations in Summit County including: Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Frisco. If you are coming from Keystone or Silverthorne, hop on the free Summit Stage to get to a pick up location.

One Hour Group Dog Sledding Tours
There are six seats per tour. Two people ride on the dogsled at a time while the other guests ride on a sleigh that is pulled by the guide on a snowmobile. There are periodic stops to switch drivers and riders.
Prices are $70 ages 9 and up and $35 ages 3 - 8
Tours depart between 8:45 am-3:30 pm daily
One Hour Tagsled Dog Sledding Tours
This dog sledding tour accommodates 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children per sled without a snowmobile. The completely dog powered trip keeps the trip serene and peaceful.
Up to 4 tagsleds will be running together with teams up 10 - 12 dogs each. All sleds will take breaks at the same time on the trail.
Prices are $140 ages 8 and up and $70 ages 3 - 7
Tours depart between 8:45 am-3:30 pm daily
Two Hour Dog Sledding Tours
Perfect for the dog lover who wants to learn more than the basics about dogsledding. You will be put you to work on this tour learning how to hook up the dogs and more. You can participate to your heart's content!
Ride on a private trail to a secluded, mountain tent for some hot chocolate and great conversation. After your hot chocolate stop, pull up the anchors and dogsled back to base camp. This is sure to be a memorable event!
Prices are $210 ages 8 and up and $105 ages 3 - 7
Up to 6 individual dog teams will be running together and will take breaks at the same time on the trail.
Tours depart at 12:45 pm.

Go West on I-70 to Exit 195 (Leadville/Copper Mountain Exit)
After taking Exit 195, you will be on Hwy 91 South
Go 24 miles to the Hwy 24 West turn off
Exit to the right onto Hwy 24 West
***If you go into the town of Leadville, you have missed the turn**
Go approximately 4 miles to Rancho Escondido on the left side of the road
Several old ranch buildings, our snowmobiles and kennel are visible from the road.
What to Bring
- Warm clothing in layers
- Eye protection (sunglasses or goggles) and warm gloves
- A valid form of identification
- Sunscreen and a camera
- Credit card for damage deposit
- Water
One piece snowsuits, boots, are provided in adult sizes. There is a limited supply of children's bibs and no children's boots.

- Customers age 9 and up are allowed to mush the team
- Children ages 3-8 can ride in the basket of the dogsled while another adult mushes the team
- Pregnant women and children under 2 years, 10 mos are not allowed to participate
- Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to departure (72 for groups or in peak season)
- Accept all major credit cards and cash
- A signed liability waiver is required for all participants
- A credit card imprint is required for as a damage deposit
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time
- All trips go snow or shine unless weather conditions prohibit a safe trip
